Teaching of Contemporary Aspects, History of Science, History of Biological Sciences, History of Technology, History of Ideas in Chemistry and Physics, General Didactics, Expression and Communication, Critical Thinking (1st year, several degrees), History of Biological Sciences (Master Program in History and Philosophy of Science) and History of Science and Technology in Portugal (PhD Program in History, Philosophy and Heritage of Science and Technology). Supervision of several post-graduate students of M.Sc. and PhD thesis. Member of STEP (Science and Technology in the European Peripheries). Researcher of the Inter-University Centre of the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (CIUHCT). Member of several scientific societies, namely, the Society of Geography - Section History of Medicine (Sociedade de Geografia), Portuguese Society of Chemistry – History of Chemistry Group, Portuguese Society of Biochemistry and the Brazilian Society for the History of Medicine . Co-Curator of the Virtual Museum of the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Lisbon (Museu Virtual do Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical - IHMT.
